With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma Tharp of Chipley, Florida, who passed away on January 8, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Hasten Owens; her husband Jack Tharp; and her siblings, T. J. Owens and Genella Atwell. She is survived by: her daughter Wanda Curry (Billy); her sister-in-law Inez Owens; her grandchildren, Shannon Curry, Jennifer Basnaw and Jason Curry; her great grandchildren, Madison, Wes, Maddie, Brayson and Sophie; her great great grandchild Averly; and her friend Esther Nicholas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a caretaker.
