He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Simon; his sons, David Simon, Jr., James Simon (Rose) and Leonard Simon; and his siblings, Horace "Pop" Simon, Jr., Mary Grace Rawlins, Martha Simon, Patricia Simon, Elsie Barlow, Wanda Murphy and Joyce Johnson.
