He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbourn J. Godwin and Amanda Ziglar Godwin; his sister Christine Creel; and his former wife Diane Godwin. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Sharee Strickland Godwin; and his children, Keith Cauley (Barbara), Lynn Mills (Greg), Leah Vickery (Doug), Darla Brantley (Jeff) and Kiley Godwin (Michelle). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
