He was predeceased by: his parent D. C.; his wife Barbara Covan Wilson; his children, James Michael Wilson, Sharon Denise Odom, Teresa Marie Jordan and Mary Kathryn Black; and his grandson Mikey Odom.

He is survived by: his daughter Beth Beck (Kevin) of Lake Mary, FL; and his grandchildren, Jessie, Nicholas, Lindsey, Kasey, Jessica, Caleb, Jacob and Sarah. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
