He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian Morrell Thompson; his parents, Albert Thompson and Aletha Thompson; his son Phillip Howard Thompson; and his brothers, Otha J. Dreadin and Leon Elton Dreadin.
He is survived by: his sons, Vincent M. Thompson of Bay Minette, AL and Robert G. Thompson (Polly) of Bay Minette, AL; his brother William "Bill" Dreadin of Pensacola, FL; his grandchildren, Jonathan Thompson, Amanda Poesl, Zackary Thompson, Beth Smith, Nick Thompson, Lindsey McCuller, Regan Thompson, Tyler Rollin and Sean Eager; and his great grandchildren, Mia, Max, Dom, Aubrey and Lillian.
