He was predeceased by: his parents, Zell Berry and Lillie Cooper Smith; his wife Edna Luverne "Sis" Smith; and his brothers, Jack Smith, Walter Smith, Winegair Smith, James Smith and Charles Smith.
He is survived by: his son Curtis Edward Smith of Byrneville, FL; his sister Susie Smith Bell of Byrneville, FL; his grandchildren, Brandon Smith (Deadria) and Rachael Smith (David Spicer); and his great grandchildren, Julianna, Samantha, Dalton, Brayden, Weston and Lilah-May. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
