She was predeceased by: her parents, Onetta Leona and William Buford LaForce; her sisters, Yvonne LaForce and Mary Lou LaForce Callahan; and her spouse Thomas E. Embree.

She is survived by: her children, Paula Kay Embree Marlowe (Foy), Brian Keith Embree (Diane) and Darel Eugene Embree (Afrena); her grandchildren, Devon, Jeffrey, Melanie, Tyler and Elizabeth; her stepgrandchildren, Andrea, Kristine, Mariah and Andrew; her great grandchildren, Alonna, Jordan and Landon; her stepgrandchildren, Julian, Mykal, Brynlee, Elli, Aly and Elana; and her great great grandchildren, Jaythan and Emberlyn.
