He was predeceased by: his parent Commodore Dewey Mims; his wife Billie Jean Mims; and his sister Joyce Grace. He is survived by: his sons, Christopher Mims (Terri) of Bushnell and Kevin Mims (Amanda) of Newberry, Florida; his siblings, Charles Mims (Linda) of Bushnell, Helen Hunt of Bushnell, Maolis Adkins of Bushnell, Faye Dixon of Bushnell and Orel Hall (Jerry) of Tucker, Georgia; his brother-in-law W. R. Jeff Davis of Bushnell; his grandchildren, Brittany Brown (Joshua) of Bushnell and Patrick Forbes of Bushnell; and his great grandchildren, Waylon Brown and Ivy Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
