He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lennox Barber and Mamie Hickox Barber. He is survived by: his children, Maxie Barber Jr. of Oklahoma, Karen Hicks (John Porter) of Callahan and Dawn Clark (Phillip) of Middleburg; his grandchildren, Maxie "Trace" Barber III, Karisa Cole (Jake), Danielle Baugh, Kelsey Green (Joshua), Symphany Baugh, Nelson Hicks and Nathan Baugh; his sisters, Dejaun Rowe of Bryceville and Judy Merritt (Jimmy) of Hilliard; his sister-in-law Lorice Barber of Hilliard; and his close friend Charlotte Skelton. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
