He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward McCarthy and Helen McCarthy; and his sister Dianna Giddings (Jim). He is survived by: his son John; his wife Brenda; his children, Michelle Boyd (Michael), Derrick McCarthy (Kelly), Kevin McCarthy and Melissa Brown (Nathan); his grandchildren, Jessica, Megan, McKenzie, Ashley, Maclain, Kate, Logan, Alaina, John, Hope, Alexander, Lucas and Caleb; his great grandchildren, Novalynn, Leilynn and Anchetto; and his siblings, Mary Burger (Bob), Michael McCarthy (Carol), Patrick McCarthy, Edward McCarthy (Kathy) and Proceeded. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
