He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Frederick David Koons and Joyce Delores Svatek. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Emdy-Koons; his children, David Koons, Jessica Koons, Rachel Anderson, Tim, Rebekah Gheen, Kourtney, Josh Koons, Sierra, Jodi Emdy and Jennifer; and his siblings, Debbie Green, John, Mark Koons and Lynette. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
