She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Eugene Sammons and Eva Florence Sammons (Prine); and her brother Ronald E. Sammon. She is survived by: her husband Herbert "Buddy" Whitaker of Bartow; and her children, Charlie Whitaker (Dreama) of Bartow, Nathan Whitaker of Bartow and Jennifer Whitaker of Bartow. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
