She was predeceased by: her sons, Lewis B. Haygood, III and James Gregory Haygood; her sister Joy Teague; her grandson Charles Austin O'Neal; and the father of her children Benard Haygood Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Deborah O'Neal (Charles) of Winter Haven and Michael Haygood (Melanie) of Land; her sister Gay Ford of Bartow; her niece Susan Irick; and her nephew Warren Eldridge. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
