We are sad to announce that on August 18, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Carolyn Runnels of Bartow, Florida, born in Colquitt, Georgia. She was predeceased by: her husband Edward L. Runnels; and her brother Lester Heard. She is survived by: her children, Lamar Runnels, Jr. of Lakeland, Linda Green and Vicky Napier (Danny); and her sister Esther Sheffield. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

“I’m so sorry I am writing this so late. I just found out. I live in the same neighborhood. We often saw her walking by our house. I helped her when I could. After every visit with her I always told my wife I felt like a I just spent time with my Mother. She will be so missed in the neighborhood. We always knew who kept the cleanest and most well kept house around. Joel and Marie Hile”
