Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bernice Johnston of Bartow, Florida, born in Gordon, Georgia, who passed away at the age of 101, on September 16, 2022. She was predeceased by: her husband J. C. "Jake" Johnston; and her siblings, Arnold Robbins, Wesley Robbins, John Robbins Williamson, Marcella Robbins and Miriam Bowman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Bush (Ron) of Winter Haven, Beverly Stidham (Mac) of Columbia, SC and Paula White (Steve McNutt) of Bartow; her grandchildren, Michael Stalvey of Birmingham, AL, Leslie Stidham Lenhardt (Cody) of Charleston, SC, Reese Stidham of Charleston, SC, Katie Stakeley (Chris) of Newberry, Jennifer Green of Cincinnati, OH and Kristen Green Bloodworth of Bartow; and her great grandchildren, Nicki, Dylan, Ann, Jake, Madelyn, Cody, Bratten, Baylor, Quinn, Fitz, Mac, Caleb and Doris McClesky of South Carolina. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations may be made in Bernice's memory to Good Shepherd Hospice and the First Baptist Church of Bartow.
