With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Artis Allen of Baldwin, Florida, born in Waycross, Georgia, who passed away on October 27, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Brown Allen and Jessie Marie Sweat Allen; his former wife Flora Mae Rhoden Allen; his son Hank Sheffield; his siblings, Edward Allen, Larry Allen and Doris Phillips; and his sister-in-law Barbara Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Allen; his children, Darlene Chessman (Phillip) of Sanderson, David Thompson (GeorgeAnne) of Bryceville, Darrell Roberts (Julie) of Bryceville, Debbie Brown (Tim) of Bryceville and Bo Allen (Athena) of Bryceville; his siblings, Kirby Allen of Minneapolis, Andy Allen of Jacksonville, Mike Allen (Susan) of Jacksonville, Linda Sanford of Jacksonville and Marlene Linnen (Jack) of Jacksonville; his daughter-in-law Myrl Sheffield of Jacksonville; and his close friend Troy Meredith of Baldwin.
At the family's request and with concern for everyone's wellbeing, masks will be required and please be mindful of social distancing.
