He was predeceased by: his spouse Marion Greenwald Shapiro. He is survived by: his children, Joyce Steckman (Walter) of Manhattan and Alan Shapiro (Emily Greenspan) of Brooklyn; and his grandchildren, David Shapiro, Vanessa Steckman Finger (Michael), Deborah Shapiro and Lucian Finger.
