Carolyn Bloomgarden Schectman Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Bloomgarden Schectman of Aventura, Florida, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on February 14, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, David Lane and Lillian Lane (Florman); her husbands, Kermit Bloomgarden and Aaron H. Schectman; and her brother Robert J. Lane.

She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Dee Bailer (Joseph) and Karenne Jo Bloomgarden; her stepsons, David Schectman and Hal Schectman (Denise); her grandchildren, Joshua Bailer (Kirsten), Jeremy Bailer, Brooke Benforado (Adam), Jon Austin (Ashley) and Emma Schectman; and her great grandchildren, Madison, Sydney, Max, Miles Bailer, Mira, Luca Benforado and Oscar Austin. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
