He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Myrtice Smith (Barlow); his wife Patricia "Pat"; and his brother Joe. He is survived by: his children, Joey Smith (Lynne) of Winter Haven, Jerry Smith (Stephany) of Auburndale, Florida and Carla Murphy (Jamie) of Auburndale, Florida; his grandchildren, Courtney, Josh (Larkin), Chris, Brad, Kyle (Nikki), Lauren (Drew), Jake (Morgan) and Sydney (Alton); his great grandchildren, Ellie, Colton, Rayden, Harper, Jase, Addison and Yates; and his close friend Betsy Gambril.
