She was predeceased by: her parents, William Martin and Dorothy Crawshaw Martin; her husband James W. Rooney; her siblings, Mary Jane Alverson, William Martin and Joseph Martin; and her son-in-law Samuel Apperson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Apperson and Janet Rooney; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Apperson, Dominique Ercolino and Gabriel Ercolino.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
