She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard McDermott and Elma McDermott (Brewer); her former husband Ernest H. Armstrong, Jr.; her son Kevin Michael Armstrong; her siblings, Patrick McDermott, James Michael McDermott, Kathleen Doyle and Teresa McFarlane; and her stepdaughter Carol Brinks.
She is survived by: her husband Glenn Saffran of Berlin; her children, Timothy Mark Armstrong (Angie) of Mesquite, TX, Mary K. Armstrong (John Veasey) of Fulton, MD and Teresa Sokoloff of Columbia, MD; her daughter-in-law Diane Armstrong of Fulton, MD; her grandchildren, James, Katie Armstrong, Steven, Will Paulus and Joe Sokoloff; her stepchildren, Diane Ruscher (Mike) of Millville, Fran Smith (Tom) of Ocean Pines, Laura Demler (Scott) of Damascus, MD, Glenn Saffran Jr. (Kathy) of Woodbine, MD, Steven Saffran (Dawn) of Burtonsville, MD and Elizabeth Kuegler (Paul) of Finksburg, MD; and her stepson-in-law Gery Brinks.
