He was predeceased by: his parents, Sewell Lewis and Mildred Rodney Lewis. He is survived by: his partner MaryJane Bennett (Collins); his sister Joan Willey; his children, Tracey Bounds (Ron), Dana Layfield (Kelly) and Phillip R. Lewis, Jr. (Farin); and also Lisa Bennett Ashman (John). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
