He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter James and Anne Marie Avitabile (Shine); and his spouse Brian Lynn. He is survived by: his brother Kieran; his sister-in-law Dorcas Avitabile; his nephew Michael; his niece Deirdre Avitabile of Bronx; and his close friend Ellen Alpert.
