He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Bosley Braun Sr. and Margaret Braun (Horn); and his sisters, Nancy E. Sanson and Janet M. Hammock. He is survived by: his wife Joan M. Braun; his children, Daniel M. Braun Sr. (Angela) of Ocean Pines and Dawn M. Peterson (David "Petey") of Berlin; and his grandchildren, Daniel M. "DJ" Braun Jr., Nicholas R. Braun, Taylor M. Braun, Nicole R. Braun, Tyler S. Stierhoff and Feldman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
