She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Stephens and Virginia Stephens (Press); her husband Howard Ward Smith; and her brother William Wallace Stephens. She is survived by: her children, Pamela Ann Smith of Charleston, SC, Gary Allen Smith (Beverly Fountain Smith) of Chinquapin, NC, Nancy Lynn Smith-Pugh (Dalton Edward Pugh) of Round Rock, TX, Howard Mark Smith (Donna Ciarmella-Smith) of Ocean View, DE and Steven Reed Smith of Elkton, MD; and her nephew Jeremy B. Stephens (Karen Ricciardi Stephens). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
