He was predeceased by: his siblings, Frances Baker and Nelson Betts. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Betts; his daughter Brenda Coverdale (James); his granddaughters, Wendy Coverdale and Regina Coverdale; and his sister-in-law Leah Betts. He is also survived by nephews; as well as extended family and friends.

Family suggests memorial gifts, in lieu of flowers, be made to Grace Church at 514 Union St. Milton.
