He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Towers and Mabel Whitby Towers; and his siblings, Buck, Jack, Donald Towers and Marty Griffith.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Sherman; his daughters, Cheryl Collins, Keli Herrin and Traci Towers; his stepchildren, Ricky Long and Kathy Bradley; his brothers, Philip, Kenneth Towers and Federalsburg; and his grandson Paul Collins. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
