It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Alfred Schappell Sr. of Laurel, Delaware, born in Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 9, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul A. Schappell and Florence Blatt Schappell. He is survived by: his wife Sue Whitehead Schappell of Laurel; his children, Robert A. Schappell, Jr. (Cindy), Michael A. Schappell (Kelly), Raymond A. Schappell (Narcie), Leslie Blankenbiller and Laurel Bullock (Jonathan); and his siblings, Richard P. Schappell and Betty Kramer. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
