Madelon Jean Ellis Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Madelon Jean Ellis of Laurel, Delaware, who passed away on December 23, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alberta Lorraine and Herman Daniel Wheatley; her sister Elsie Joan Wright of Hurlock, MD.; her aunt Margaret Rider of Sharptown, MD; her stepdaughter Ann E. Hellriegel; and her stepgrandson John Hellriegel.
She is survived by: her siblings, William C. Wheatley and Linda C. Spear (Levin); her stepchildren, D. Blair Ellis (Mary) and Joan E. Smith (Ronald); and her son-in-law Robert J. Hellriegel (Bibi). She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, step-grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
As a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, burial will be private at Odd Fellows Cemetery, with a Memorial Service being planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Mrs. Ellis' memory to: Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, and Laurel Public Library.
