He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Smith and Helen Swift Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Charles M. Smith, Sr. of Laurel, Wilmir L. Smith of Laurel and Brenda Anderson (Walter) of Dover. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
