He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Cummings and Marie Alberta Houston; and his wife Juanita Cummings. He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Hallowell (Donald Hallowell, Jr.). He is also survived by three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Cummings memory to; St. Jude Memorial Fund, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
