With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret B. Mitchell (Harrington, Delaware), born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 5, 2024. She was predeceased by: her father Williard Donovan; her siblings, James Donovan, Edna Grace Webb and Norma Cochran; her daughter Pamela Messick; her granddaughter-in-law Taddy Butler; and her former husband Lieutenant John M. Butler.
She is survived by: her mother Lucinda Sanner Donovan Steele; her sons, Roger Butler (Faye) of Greenwood and Michael Mitchell (Pam) of Fuquay-Varina, NC; and her grandchildren, David Messick (Stephanie), John Butler (Jerri Lynn), Karen Carrow (Jeff), Kevin Butler, Allie Mitchell and Christa Mitchell. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; and 4 generations of nieces.
