She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Edwards (Allen) and Louder Smith Edwards; her husband Earl F. Butler; her daughters, Catherine "Kitty" Dare and Karen Sue Barmer; and her sister Edna Mae.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Walther (Gary) of St. Georges and Mildred "Dink" Winkler of Harrington; her stepchildren, Wayne Butler of North Carolina, Cheryl Ray of South Carolina, Linda Butler of Harrington and Karen Butler of Harrington; her brother Smith Edwards (Tiny) of Hartly; and her pet Max. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
