With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bessie Briggs Hocker (Georgetown, Delaware), who passed away on September 27, 2018 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Mary Lin Evans; her husband Linwood Harrison Evans Jr.; her former husband John L. Briggs; her siblings, Clayton, Jacob, Wilbert Hocker and Mary Hocker Collins; her granddaughters, Lara Evans and Lorie Evans; her stepdaughters, Rebecca Briggs and Vera Briggs Single; and her stepgrandson John L. Adams.
She is survived by: her parents, Jacob Boyer and Helen Vansant Hocker; her sons, Kenneth (Andrea) and Louis (Anna); her grandchildren, Jennifer Evans Spinks (Richard) and Jeffrey Evans (Deby); her great grandchildren, Marley Evans and Gage Spinks; her stepdaughters, Eleanor Adams (George) and Dora George (Robert); and her stepgrandchildren, Alfie Adams (Emma), Travis George and Devin George.
