He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Basto; and his brother Donald Basto. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Basto, Stephanie Sutton (Kevin) and Joseph N. Basto; his grandchildren, Michelle Medeiros and Sully Basto-Davies; and his sisters, Jacqueline Cousens (Robert), Dolories Bianca and Ann Stasio. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
