He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Burton and Mary Lockard Burton; and his siblings, John Burton, Charles Burton, George Burton, Harriet Pyle, James Burton, Thomas Burton, Alice Graham, Leonard Burton and Lewis Burton.
He is survived by: his wife Edna G. Burton; his children, Sharon Harrison, Linda VanSickle (David), Ruth Tyre (Joe), Steven Burton (Sharon) and Robert Burton (Tina); his grandchildren, Shana Mustachio (Mike), Sara Holveson (Adam), Joe Tyre Jr. (Renee), Shelly Morreno (Henry), Daniel Tyre, James Bedwell Jr., Ashley Wright (Roger), Corey Burton, Kandace Wallace (Josh), Brandon Burton, Jordan Burton and Christopher Burton; and his sister Beulah Absher. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
