He is survived by: his wife Diane Santopietro (Nitowski); his stepchildren, John Santopietro (Diane) of Wolcott, Christine Brown of Thomaston, Cindy Cipriano (Joe) of Waterbury, Jason Brown (Mary) and Bristol; his grandchildren, John Santopietro III (Jennifer), Justin Philibert (Julie), Joey Cipriano, Jessica LeClerc, Jennifer Cipriano, Joshua Brown and Jaxson Brown; his great grandchild Venrease McKenzie; and his brothers, Salvatore (Lorraine), Albert (Peggy), Nicholas (Linda) and Philip Santopietro (Trish). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
