With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Carrah of Wolcott, Connecticut, born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on July 16, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Joseph Carrah; her parents, Annette Galipault (LaVasseur) and Raymond Galipault; and her brothers, Raymond Galipault, Bernard Galipault, Donald Galipault and Robert Galipault.
She is survived by: her husband Joe; her children, Susan Carserino (John), Michael Carrah (Donna) and James Carrah (Amanda); her grandchildren, Christina Carrah, Melissa Hart (Kerri), Kara Carserino (Ziggy Burzacki), Michael Carrah Jr. (Russell Dinolfo), Mikayla Carrah, Madison Carrah, Evan Carrah and Ava Carrah; and her great grandchildren, Cooper Burzacki, Nicolas Hart, Eli Burzacki and Zachary Hart.
Her several contributions to the Church included serving in the St. Pius X Church Ladies Guild, acting as a Eucharistic minister, and teaching Sunday school.Beyond her dedication and contributions to her Church, Joan was an active member in her community through her work with the Gen.
