It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sidney Sellers Van Leer (Winsted, Connecticut), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 25, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph W. Leer; his former wife Nancy M. Van Leer (Amato); his daughter Lori S. Holloway; and his brothers, Randolph Justice Van Leer, George R. Van Leer, Joseph Wayne Van Leer and Bernard W. Van Leer.
He is survived by: his spouse Arlene M. Van Leer (Hein); his parent Charlotte B. Van Leer (Dubbs); his children, Eric Van Leer (Jerilyn) and Joyce Koller (Robert); his stepchildren, Ronald Cormier, Sherri Savanella, Darlene Cormier and Dean Cormier; his grandchildren, Meredith Whiting and Justin Van Leer; his stepgrandchildren, Danielle Robade, Alex Savanella and Gianna Masucci; and his great grandchildren, Isabella Whiting and William Whiting. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
