He is survived by: his parent Helen Yanavich (Armonavich); his spouse Josephine Yanavich (Mikulski); his children, Joseph Yanavich and Michele Cyr; his grandchildren, Shane, Nathan, Shauna, Ariana, Dylan, Alexa, Joseph, Abigail, Zachary, Caleb and Ava; and his siblings, Josephine Popikas of Old Saybrook and Helene Pollard of Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Yale Research Hospital in New Haven.
