It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Della M. Purcell (Winsted, Connecticut), who passed away on December 13, 2018, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Della M. Purcell to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Freeman Legassy and Jannette Morin of Limestone, ME.; her brother Oscar Legassy; her former husband Donald J. McCaw; and her children, Donald J. "Bubby" McCaw Jr. and Debra A. Maiori.
She is survived by: her spouse Edward J. Purcell; her siblings, Azelda Billings of Lincoln, NB and Fredrick Legassy of Fort Myers, FL.; and her children, Brenda Sherman (Bruce) of Gorham, Donna Sherman (Thedore) of Winsted, Freeman McCaw of Smithfield and Charles McCaw (Laura) of Punta Gorda. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
