He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Papafil Rookey; and his siblings, Ronald, Richard, Raymond, Roy, Robert, Vivian Brahman, Lorraine Marks, Florence Sylvester and Genevieve Wile.
He is survived by: his children, Rockwell T. Rookey (Marcia Hughes) of East Windsor, Ronald J. Rookey (Marcy) of Suffield, Rodney A. Rookey of Suffield and Evangeline R. Christian (Karl) of West Suffield; his grandchildren, Crista, Ralle, Alexandra and Ryan; his great-nieces, Violet and Mae of East Windsor; and his sisters, Eugenia Goodale of Longmeadow and Shirley Boothe of Canyon Lake, TX..
