He was predeceased by: his wife Marie C. Garttmeyer (Steitz); and his parents, Henry Garttmeyer and Anna Garttmeyer (Blum). He is survived by: his children, Marie Collie (Jim), Edward Garttmeyer (Cynthia) and James Garttmeyer (Sandra); and his grandchildren, Lauren, Andrew, Nichole, Anthony, Dylan, Kyle and Nathan. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
