He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine Izzo; his son Christopher; and his sister Ruth. He is survived by: his grandson Rec; his son Jeff (Debra); his grandchildren, Jonathan Abbott Meyers (Campbell), Benjamin Abbott Meyers, Stacey Meyers Breton (Christopher) and Jessica Tracy-Meyers (Tyler Schmid); his great grandchildren, Tyler, Wyatt and Sawyer; and his daughter-in-law Karen Hadad-Meyers. He is also survived by sisters in-law, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Royal's memory with a gift to the First Congregational Church, Watertown; the cardiovascular unit at Waterbury Hospital; or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, an organization dear to Royal's heart since his son's passing.
