He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Aidan and Deana Kane of Middlebury; his parents, James J. and Deana Kane Sr. (LoRusso); and his siblings, Maria Kane Slavin (John) of Waterbury, Cheryl A. Kane (John Tarascio) of Waterbury, James J. Kane Jr. of Waterbury and Diane S. Kane (Christopher M. Kane) of Waterbury.
