He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Gilbert (Avery) and Louis Baldanza; his siblings, Linda Gilbert and Randy Gilbert; and his stepfather Paul Gilbert.
He is survived by: his children, Maureen Taylor (Jeff) of Wolcott, Darlene Avery (Tony Berardi) of Waterbury, Philip Avery Jr. of Prospect and William Avery of Prospect; his grandchildren, Christopher Taylor of Prospect and Danielle Taylor of Wolcott; his great grandchild Hudson Taylor of Prospect; his sister Denise Hough (Gilbert) of Florida; his former wife Sharen Avery of Prospect; and his significant other Linda Carney of Waterbury.
Memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA, Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
