He was predeceased by: his father Richard Sauer; and his brother Michael Sauer. He is survived by: his mother Geraldine Devoid; his wife Karen Sauer (Erickson); his children, Brianna Coley (William Coley), Alexander Sauer (Suzie Theriault), Melissa Wojcik (Eileen Connor) and Joseph Wojcik (Bianca Wojcik); his grandchildren, Isabella, Victoria, LeAnn and Joseph; and his sister Susan Zaccagnini (Craig Zaccagnini).
