It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John E. Potter Jr. of Torrington, Connecticut, who passed away on June 2, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Potter, Sr. and Mabel Potter (Vinton); and his son John E. Potter, III. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Mae Potter (Parsons); his children, Jeffrey E. Potter (Bonnie) of Newburyport, MA, James E. Potter (Patricia) of Torrington, Jay E. Potter of Torrington, Janis E. McConnell (David) of Burlington, Jean E. Tyburski (Paul) of Somers and Joan E. Thibault (Rene) of Bristol; his daughter-in-law Sofia Steiner of Chesapeake, VA; and his siblings, Ralph Potter of Downingtown, PA and Priscilla Abeling (John) of Torrington. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
