He was predeceased by: his father James Fitzsimmons. He is survived by: his wife Rita Carten Fitzsimmons; his sons, Tim Fitzsimmons (Bernadette) of Gaithersburg, John Fitzsimmons (Patty) of Trumbull and Dan Fitzsimmons of Monroe; his grandchildren, Matthew, Thomas, Juliana, Lauren, Kathryn and Brian; and his sisters, Maryann Weenan of Florida and Helen Filo of Connecticut. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
