He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernhard Fortmann and Ellen Fortmann; and his brother James Fortmann. He is survived by: his wife Jo Anne Fortmann; and his children, Eric Fortmann, Jamie DiGiacomo (Anthony) and Jeffrey Fortmann (Chrissy). He is also survived by three grandchildren.
